  • To make your own gel (yields ~16 oz): 1. Rinse 2 oz dried sea moss thoroughly under cool water to remove ocean salt. 2. Soak in a bowl of spring water for 12–24 hours in the refrigerator (it will expand 3–4×). 3. Drain, rinse again. 4. Add to high-speed blender with ~1.5 cups fresh spring water. 5. Blend on high for 60–90 seconds until smooth. 6. Pour into glass jar, refrigerate. Use within 30 days.

Honestly? Not ours. Real sea moss gel - when it's cleaned the right way - is neutral. No strong taste. Think of it like a smooth, almost tasteless applesauce.

We triple wash our sea moss, so you're not getting that gritty, dirty aftertaste. It's just like greens… if they're not cleaned right, you know immediately (and yeah… you can't eat everybody's greens).

Some people might catch the slightest hint of the ocean on the back end, but most people taste nothing at all - especially when you mix it into smoothies, oatmeal, coffee, or tea. Now that fake, overly processed or bleached stuff?

That's where that fishy taste comes in. That's your red flag.

It's also frequently bleached white to look "premium." Real wildcrafted sea moss is rope-grown directly in the ocean, gets its color from the minerals in the water, and ranges from gold to dark brown.

Ours is rope-grown in a single cove in St. Lucia, sun-dried, hand-cleaned, and cold-processed below 110°F so the minerals stay intact.
